Hayward opening new roof truss plant, hiring 30 in Santa Maria
SANTA MARIA, Calif. — Hayward has opened a new roof truss manufacturing facility in Santa Maria, California. To commemorate the completion of a new truss manufacturing facility in Santa Maria, Hayward Lumber, the Home Builders Association, the Santa Maria Contractor’s Association, the Santa Maria Chamber of Commerce and many of Hayward’s customers held a Grand Opening Celebration and a ribbon cutting ceremony by Mayor Alice Patino.
Not only did the new facility create thirty new jobs for the Santa Maria area, but it also cleaned up the location, which had been polluted from previous industrial usage.
“We are excited to be manufacturing our roof trusses in Santa Maria, and we are pleased have been able to clean up a polluted industrial site at the same time. The Grand Opening Celebration is a great opportunity to celebrate Hayward’s ongoing commitment to the Santa Maria community and to thank everyone who helped make this possible,” said William E. Hayward, Hayward’s CEO and Chief Sustainability Officer.
